In fact, two out of three adults are overweight and even our children are at risk. (Nearly half of our kindergarteners are already overweight). The consequences of being overweight or obese are serious and long term; you are more likely to get diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and cancer if you are overweight.

But each of us can help fight this epidemic. The Allen Maddox Fitness team offers many free or low-cost activities – some in collaboration with other fitness organizations – that can help many people get fit and stay fit.
